SSCD Subscription Terms

Last updated: 2026-04-27

These Subscription Terms govern access to and use of the Swedish Shopping Centre Directory, available at sscd.se (“SSCD”, the “Service”). The Service is operated by HUI Research AB (“HUI”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

By creating an account, subscribing to, accessing or using SSCD, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

SSCD is a digital database providing information about shopping centres, retail parks and related development projects in Sweden. The Service may include searchable data, filters, maps, comparisons, summaries, exports, reports, market data, centre information, tenant information, ownership information and related analysis.

The content and functionality of the Service may be updated, changed or removed over time.

2. Subscription and access

Access to SSCD is provided as a paid subscription. Unless otherwise stated, the subscription period is twelve months.

The subscription is personal and applies to one named user. Access may not be shared with other individuals, colleagues, departments, companies or organisations unless additional user licences have been purchased or HUI has approved this in writing.

If a company purchases a subscription for an employee or representative, the named user may access the Service on behalf of that company, but the login remains personal to that user.

3. Account and login credentials

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure.

You may not share your username, password, login link or other access credentials with any other person.

You are responsible for all activity carried out through your account. If you become aware of unauthorised access or misuse, you must notify HUI without delay.

4. Permitted use

You may use SSCD and the data made available through the Service for analysis, research, benchmarking, market evaluation, planning, reporting and decision support.

You may:

a. search, filter and view data in the Service;
b. export available data to Excel where export functionality is provided;
c. use reasonable extracts of SSCD data in internal reports, presentations and analyses;
d. use SSCD data in reports, presentations or materials prepared for clients, investors, partners or other external recipients, provided that the use is reasonable, relevant to the report and does not reproduce or redistribute a substantial part of the database;
e. publish limited figures, charts, conclusions or summaries based on SSCD data externally, provided that SSCD/HUI is clearly credited as the source.

5. Source attribution

When SSCD data is used in external reports, presentations, publications, articles, marketing materials or other public or client-facing materials, the source must be clearly stated.

Recommended attribution:

Source: Swedish Shopping Centre Directory / HUI Research AB

If the data has been processed, analysed or combined with other sources, the wording should make this clear, for example:

Source: Swedish Shopping Centre Directory / HUI Research AB, analysis by [customer name]

6. Restrictions

You may not:

a. share your login or allow another person to use your account;
b. resell, sublicense, rent, publish, transfer or otherwise make the Service or full database available to third parties;
c. copy, download, export, scrape, harvest or reproduce substantial parts of the database except through normal permitted use of the Service;
d. use automated tools, bots, crawlers, scripts or scraping technologies to access or extract data;
e. use SSCD data to build, train, enrich or improve a competing database, product, platform, AI model or commercial data service;
f. remove copyright notices, source references or proprietary markings;
g. bypass or attempt to bypass technical restrictions, access controls or security features;
h. use the Service in violation of applicable law.

7. Excel exports

Where Excel export functionality is provided, exported files may be used for your own analysis, internal work, and permitted client reporting.

Exported files may not be redistributed as standalone datasets, uploaded to public databases, sold, shared with unauthorised users, or used to create a competing service.

If your subscription ends, you may keep reports and analyses that were lawfully created during the subscription period, but you may not continue using exported datasets as a replacement for an active subscription.

8. Client reports and external use

You may include limited SSCD data in client reports, investor presentations, strategy documents, market reports and similar materials, provided that:

a. the use is relevant to the specific report or analysis;
b. only reasonable extracts are included;
c. the material does not allow the recipient to reconstruct a substantial part of the SSCD database;
d. SSCD/HUI is credited as the source;
e. the data is not presented in a misleading way.

For larger republication, commercial redistribution, recurring public reports, media use, API use or use of substantial parts of the database, separate written approval from HUI is required.

9. Data accuracy and updates

HUI works to keep SSCD accurate and up to date, but market data, property data, tenant information, ownership information, visitor numbers, sales data and development project information may change over time and may contain errors, omissions or delays.

The Service is provided for information and analysis purposes only. You are responsible for your own decisions and should verify critical information independently before relying on it for transactions, investments, legal matters or other material decisions.

10. Intellectual property

All rights in SSCD, including the database, structure, design, software, data compilations, reports, text, analysis, charts and other materials, belong to HUI Research AB or its licensors.

No ownership rights are transferred to you. You receive only a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Service during the active subscription period in accordance with these Terms.

11. Fees and payment

The subscription fee is the price stated on the website, in the checkout, in an order form, or in a separate agreement.

Unless otherwise stated, prices are exclusive of VAT for business customers and inclusive of VAT where required by applicable consumer law.

Payment terms are stated at the time of purchase or on the invoice.

Late or failed payments may result in suspension of access until payment has been received.

12. Automatic renewal

Unless cancelled before the renewal date, the subscription renews automatically for a new subscription period.

The renewal period, renewal price and cancellation deadline will be stated at the time of purchase or in the customer account.

HUI may notify you before renewal, but you are responsible for cancelling the subscription before the renewal date if you do not want it to renew.

You can cancel future renewal by contacting HUI or, where available, by using the cancellation function in your account.

Cancellation stops future renewals but does not normally entitle you to a refund for the current subscription period.

13. Right of withdrawal for consumers

If you subscribe as a consumer, you may have a statutory right of withdrawal under applicable consumer protection law.

However, if you request immediate access to the digital Service and acknowledge that access begins before the withdrawal period has expired, you may lose your right of withdrawal once the Service has been made available.

Where applicable, information about withdrawal rights will be provided at the time of purchase.

14. Suspension and termination

HUI may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you:

a. fail to pay fees when due;
b. breach these Terms;
c. share access with unauthorised users;
d. misuse the Service or its data;
e. use the Service in a way that may harm HUI, the Service, other users or third-party rights.

Upon termination or expiry of the subscription, your right to access and use the Service ends.

15. Confidentiality

Non-public data, materials and functionality made available through SSCD must be treated as confidential unless the information is clearly intended for public use or has been lawfully published elsewhere.

You may not disclose substantial non-public SSCD data to third parties except as permitted under these Terms or agreed in writing with HUI.

16. Personal data

If personal data is processed in connection with the Service, such processing is described in HUI’s Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for ensuring that any users accessing the Service on your behalf are informed about how their personal data may be processed.

17. Availability and technical operation

HUI aims to provide stable access to the Service but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, technical issues, cyber incidents, third-party service interruptions or circumstances outside HUI’s control.

HUI may update, change or improve the Service at any time.

18. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HUI is not liable for indirect damages, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of data, loss of goodwill or other consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Service.

For business customers, HUI’s total liability under these Terms is limited to the amount paid by the customer for the Service during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is not permitted under applicable law, including mandatory consumer protection law.

19. Force majeure

HUI is not responsible for delay or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to technical failures, cyberattacks, interruptions in third-party services, labour disputes, government actions, war, pandemics, natural disasters or other force majeure events.

20. Changes to these Terms

HUI may update these Terms from time to time.

Material changes will be communicated in a reasonable manner. Continued use of the Service after updated Terms have taken effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

For existing paid subscription periods, material changes that significantly reduce your rights will not apply retroactively unless required by law or necessary for security, legal or technical reasons.

21. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Swedish law.

For business customers, disputes shall be settled by Swedish courts, with Stockholm District Court as the court of first instance.

Consumers may also have the right to have disputes reviewed by the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes, Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, or another competent consumer dispute body.
